Neurovascular Hip joint

hey guys i havent bee feeling well for the past 3 days and the way i am feeling right now i dont think i will be able to come tomorrow but if will be better i will definetely come.enjoy your pcl. Ex

Arteries

Medial and lateral circumflex femoral arteries which are branches of the deep artery of the thigh sometimes of the femoral artery.

The other artery is the artery to the head of femur which is a branch of the orbturator artery and traverses the ligament of the head of femur.

The main blood supply of the hip joint is from the retinacular arteries from branches of circumflex femoral arteries. Retinacular arteries from the medial circumflex femoral  artery are abundant and supply the head and neck of femur because they pass beneath the  unattached  posterior border of the joint capsule. Branches from the lateral circumflex femoral artery penetrate the thick illiofemoral ligament so are few and thin.

Nerves

Hilton’s law. Flexors pass anterior to the hip joint and are innervated by the femoral nerve therefore the anterior part of the hip joint is innervated by the femoral nerve. Lateral rotators pass inferior and posterior to the hip joint and are innervated by the orbturator nerve therefore the posterior part of hip joint is innervated by the orbturator nerve. Adductors which pass superior to the hip joint and are innervated by the superior gluteal nerve therefore the superior part of the hip joint is innervated by the superior gluteal nerve.

Vein

Did not find much about the veins only found there is the femoral vein
